Sweet Dreams

Oh, Stephen Colbert. I knew I liked you before. But now? I think I love you, you sweet, sweet eagle of delicious freedom. Thank you Ben, Jerry, and Mr. Colbert. Your creamy patriotism earns you my personal Purple Tastebud award.

Weekend Shopping

Shopping this weekend netted me one jacket (minus that belt), two dresses (one for Spencer & Deb's wedding- check), two sweaters, 4 shirts and two rings. Both dresses were marked down, one I saved $20, the other I saved $40. Word. Now I just need some pants and shoes, ha.

Sad

It seems like a lot of people are passing away lately. Cyd Charisse died. Very depressing.

Weekend Roundup

This is a little late, huh? But I succumbed to a bout of insomnia Sunday night, requiring a sleeping pill Monday night, resulting in a rather zombie-ish Tuesday. And now it's Wednesday. So here's a quick little list of what got done over the weekend.

-Eating Chipotle and pizza
-Cleaning the kitchen
-Walking 1.5 miles
-Home steam facial
-Meg Ryan & Tom Hanks movie marathon
-Newsweek reading
-Photo editing
-Pre-wedding pool party for Spencer & Deb

Flowers

I bought some bright and cheerful flowers at Central Market this weekend. They make me smile every time I look at them. I heart Carnations.

Eddie Izzard

Oh man! I couldn't be more excited for tonight! We're going to see Eddie Izzard at The Majestic in Dallas. Sold out show and everything. And since we have to get ready, grab some dinner, and drive to Dallas in time for the 8:00 start time it means I get to leave work early! And I don't have to cook! Excitement from all angles, that is. I've been watching his DVDs all week in anticipation for tonight. Here's one of my favorite bits.

Resolutions Update IV

Well, here it is June, almost half way through the year. And time for my monthly look at how I'm doing on my goals. As can be expected some have definitely fallen to the wayside, but then on some I'm doing better than I would have thought was possible for me.

May:
-Read two books, the Woody Allen book, and In Defense of Food
-Set aside a whopping $3500 for house down payment, thanks to a 5 paycheck month!
-Spent a lot of time with friends, some new, some old
-Ordered a new lens and book to keep me learning more on photography
-Did a lot more baking
-Continued exercising, though slacking a little bit
-Still eating more vegetables and less fast food
-Finally make it out to Concert In The Garden

And that's about the most exciting stuff that happened this month. I think doing this monthly post is really helping me to keep up with the things that I truly want to continue and what I still want to make sure I get accomplished this year.
