About

My name is Jessica Hoover and I live in North Texas. I'm a wife, student, and catmom. My husband and I have been married for almost 10 years, together for over 18. I'm in my mid-30s and recently graduated with a BA in History and Radio, Television, Film, and a minor in Women's and Gender Studies. I will be starting graduate school in Fall 2016. I work part time to balance my school schedule. Currently I work for a non-profit, The Center for Transforming Lives, as a sales associate at The Resale Shop. Our organization aims to break the cycle of poverty through a two-generation approach that focuses on getting women, children, and families into stable housing. I love to score wicked deals at my resale store, budget travel, watch cheesy psuedo-documentary shows on Netflix, eat Tex-Mex, and drink beers on porches with my friends. I would be 90% more productive if Pinterest didn't exist. Conan O'Brien changed my life. So did The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and Woody Allen. I do my best to practice Intersectional Feminism- "Go Intersectional or Go Home".
